1) Land Preparation: Farmers across the country prepare the land for rice cultivation by plowing and leveling the fields. Adequate water supply is also maintained so that farm fields will be flooded to create a conducive environment for rice growth.
2) Cultivation: The Non-Basmati Raw Rice variety is cultivated in farms across rice-growing regions in India with suitable climate and soil conditions.
3) Seed Selection and Planting: High-quality seeds of the desired variety of Non-Basmati White Raw Rice are selected for planting. The seeds are sown and further taken care of in nurseries until they grow into seedlings. When they reach a suitable height, young seedlings are later transplanted to the main rice-growing farm fields.
4) Growth and Maturation: Rice plants grow in the farm fields, amid a consistent water supply and maintained atmospheric conditions, precautionary measures to safeguard from insects, weeds, etc. harmful things throughout their growth cycle. The maturation period may vary. The crop becomes ready for harvesting once the rice grains reach their desired size and maturity.
5) Harvesting: Harvesting is carried out when the rice plants attain maturity, and the grains have developed up to the desired levels. Traditional methods like sickle harvesting and modern machinery for larger-scale cultivation, harvesting are used by Farmers.
6) Threshing: When harvesting is completed, rice stalks i.e. rice paddy undergo threshing in a Paddy Thresher to separate the grains from the straw. Threshing is done manually, with tools, or using mechanized threshers, across India.
7) Drying: The rice obtained after threshing is spread out in the sun-light or dried using mechanical, electrical dryers to reduce moisture content. Proper drying is crucial and it prevents mold growth and ensures the long-term storage of rice.
8) Cleaning: The Raw Rice Grains obtained from the threshing, drying steps undergo a cleaning process (manual or machine-based) to remove impurities like dust, husk, and other debris. This is an important step to obtain high-quality rice that should be free from any contaminants. Cleaning is carried out by a Sorted Color Machine or normal machine, as per requirement and availability.
9) Storage and Packaging: After drying-cleaning the given variety of Non-Basmati White Raw Rice is stored in proper storage bins, containers and also packaged in suitable bags as per requirements. The proper storage of rice in bins and bag packaging are both highly important to protect the rice from harmful environmental factors and maintain its quality for a longer time.
